Communion Sunday

On Sunday, November 10th there will be no morning gathering at the Cultural Center. Instead, we will gather as church family in homes around Newberg to celebrate Communion together.

WHY:

God’s vision for the church was greater than Sunday gatherings in a large room with communion in tiny portions. His vision is a people redeemed on the journey of becoming unafraid sons and daughters gathering around a full meal to share life, to listen, and to proclaim the power of Jesus blood.

This is the heart behind Communion Sunday. It’s not just a Sunday off - it’s an integral way you participate in this family.

PRACTICALLY:

  1. Get together with whatever pre-established community you have - and invite others in as you feel led - to participate in this Communion Sunday together.

  2. Organize a potluck-style meal with your guests.

  3. Watch Alex’s video together. (See link below)

  4. Designate someone to bring bread and wine/juice, and end the time by taking communion together as you walk through the guided liturgy.

WHAT IF I’M NEW HERE AND/OR DON’T HAVE PRE-ESTABLISHED COMMUNITY YET AT SAINTS’ HILL?

Don’t worry! There is a place for you. We are designating one host home that you can sign up for by filling out the form below, if you find yourself in that situation and want to be placed in a home for this Communion Sunday.
